Once the heater was turned on, it would only take about a half hour to get the engine coolant temp to over 100F.

What I do to make it super easy for me, is I attach the block heater to a wireless remote switch like you would use for Christmas lights or something like that. When I come home at night, I plug it in. In the morning I turn it on just a bit before I go. I unplug when I go to leave. At that point, the time to get heat is nearly nothing.

I mounted it on the lower part of the radiator. Not an ideal spot as there is long hose runs, but I couldn't find another place for it. It has to be mounted low in comparison to the rest of the engine as it works via natural convection.

Here it is with the hoses routed.
Hey Daox where did you tie in this heater? Sorry if you already mentioned this but Fummins' thread on the CVT heat exchanger leak reminded me of your heater installation. I wonder if the CVT heat exchanger circuit would be useful for your heater. Probably not as it would only heat the coolant in the radiator.

I tied it into the lower heater core hose. The block heater outputs to the block, and sucks in coolant from the heater core.

I'm sure a similar setup could be used to heat up the CVT oil. Thats not a bad idea at all.

Yeah the CVT heat exchanger is a unique feature (among many) of these little cars that open up opportunities for new tricks.

I Have added OEM cruise control with the use of my cruise control kit that I've made. It works just as the OEM setup does. It just uses different switches. For those interested, they are for sale.

I've been riding around for about two weeks now on my custom made rear anti-sway bar. I can honestly say this thing is amazing. By and far the best mod yet. It completely changes the way the car handles. Its immensely more planted and confident in corners where as it used to rooooll around the corners. It really makes the car a lot more enjoyable to drive.

    Here are a few pictures:

I really have no plans for another version at this point. It would be interesting to make one that is a bit stiffer just to see how it feels. But, as of right now I have no plans to make one.

it seems it would hit a ramp/bump unless the springs or shocks have been replaced.

How about flip the angle iron so the angle goes up instead of down? I love what you did, but don't want to decrease clearance from the bottom of the coil landing. How hard to flip the 90 degrees up?
