Disappointing. Thanks for the effort though.

Hmmm...I will run the same test on my car tonight to see if there are any temp variations from the driver to passenger side.

You may have already answered this...but does the force of the airflow seem even between all of the dash vents?

That would be great if you could check your car, thanks!

The airflow does seem pretty close. I didn't pay too much attention to it, but there was no obvious difference there that I can remember.

Let me see if I can get a decent thermometer and check mine. It would be a good thing to have documented.

    Thanks for sharing your progress.

I measured my 2004 Civic vents when I got home. Again I let the air blast on high heat and max fan for a little bit to normalize the temperature readings. From left to right, the readings were: 123F, 129F, 130F, 131F. So, while they didn't get as hot as the driver's side vent on the Mirage, they are much more consistent. Also, I can't really 'feel' the difference between 123F and 130F.

The manual shows the car has one, and if it was working correctly he wouldn't of had any flow at all with the car off. So it might be broke in a way that's choking the flow down, which would give you the same issues he's having because you'll just have less heat overall. The big temp variance side to side could be explained by the poor flow just taking the path of least resistance

These cars do not have a heater control valve. There are two lines between the engine and firewall / heater core, no valve between em sadly. Its a nice feature to have IMO.

I'm curious to hear where in the manual you saw they do though.

It was in. Section 55 but my tablet isnt working so..

It showed it mounted to the side of the box inside the car not on the firewall like everything else

Should be easy to find if it's there jyst look for a vacuum line

I believe this is what you're looking for.

I find it a bit odd that it is only there on the automatic A/C setup. This is what all US made 2014s have though.

Well, its something to check out! Thanks for the heads up.
