Hey Daox, now that you are a Mitsubishi insider, can you see if there's a Technical Service Bulletin for this heater core problem?

I just ordered a heater core off Rock Auto. It was a hair under $70 with shipping, tax, and the MirageForum discount.
Also, some interesting information from the product information link: https://www.rockauto.com/en/moreinfo...=3309833&jsn=8
While I can't imagine the OEM part not having this feature, its nice to hear the aftermarket does.Pro heaters are designed with tubes that are coated internally with a corrosion resistant cladding alloy 7072. This cladding alloy covers the inside surface of the core tubes to ensure galvanic protection against pitting corrosion. Any spot attack on the coolant side of the tube will penetrate only as far as the core alloy where further progress is stopped dead in its tracks.

Also interesting that the Mitsubishi coolant is specifically formulated to deal with corrosion, and yet here we are.

Well, we aren't 100% sure it is corrosion at this point. It could still be other things. Apparently the flapper door was revised, perhaps mines busted? We'll see when I go in there.

Night time update. This afternoon was busy, but I was able to get the main dash piece out. Still more digging to do...
If anyone wants me to check out anything at this point let me know. Stuff is pretty readily accessible.
