    Car and Driver = Imbeciles

    https://www.caranddriver.com/mitsubishi/mirage

" the last Mirage hatchback we tested was equipped with a continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT). That one took 10.9 seconds to reach 60 mph—more than two seconds slower than the Fiesta turbo triple and about the same as the Chevy Spark automatic. "

And I wonder how much more the Fiesta turbo triple is, oh that's right, about $8k more IIRC. Just to be 2 seconds faster to 60mph.

It appears the 2018 Fiesta is only available with a 1.6 L I-4. No more 3 hole turbo.

    Shelby AKA "Cute", 2017 ES 5MT, A/C.

Mirage owners look at the world differently than everyone else, but in a better way
We're driving the Beetle of the 21st century, the greatest small car now available!

In the United States the fiesta turbo was going for around $15,300 at my local Ford dealership, excellent deal and great car but I was concerned as it looked complicated to work on as well as Ford turbo engines having carbon build up issues

Yeah, unfortunately it seems all direct injected engines have carbon build up issues. It'll be interesting to see how OEMs fix this issue.
Custom Mirage products: Cruise control kit, Glove box light, MAF sensor housing, Rear sway bar, Upper grill block

Current project: DIY Nitrous oxide setup for ~$100

We can fix it ourselves by buying a Mirage.

The aftermarket is always better if you want performance. Buy a GTR then a $10k mod and you'll destroy Lamborghini Aventadors with a huge amount of pocket savings.

I'd justify buying the supercharger kit rather than buying the Ford.

It would still work out cheaper, I bet.

Car and Driver should ask a Fiesta owner how many times their Power Shift automatic trans was repaired for defective clutches.
