yeah. It doesn't look like there's an easy way to get metal plate off. I'll try and figure out how to crack open the case and if I don't figure it out, I'll look out for your next post. :-)

@Clockwork, do you happen to know the part number for the actuator?
    I have a similar issue.

    Hello Clockwork,

I have the exact same problem. I am in Canada. Could you please explain, in detail if possible, videos are awesome, how you fixed the actuator motors and took your door appart.

I have the front passenger door as well as the two back doors that will not open when I press the lock- unlock button or use my key fob. The only doors that are working are the driver side door in the rear hatch.

I too am out of warranty.

My car is a 2014 Mitsubishi mirage hatchback and only has 65,000 km

My dealer said that I needed to replace the actuators assembly in all three doors and that it would cost me $1500, before taxes!

    I am not happy.
    Any help would be appreciated!

    Thanks in advance,

    Paul

You can look up lock actuator on a parts site like mitsubishipartswarehouse.com.

Here are some part numbers that came up for a 2014...

I ended up fixing it myself.
Buy the actuator DC motor on ebay and followed this instructions:

One month later, no issues. All working fine.

    Very helpful! Great share!

Makes a person wonder if some dealerships do this, but charge for replacing an entire actuator instead?

That YouTube video is a great how-to. I just ordered one of the motors...just in case. I'll store it with my replacement clutch cable.

Is this an issue with only Mirages with keyless entry? IIRC nobody with just the basic fob has had this issue, as of yet. Im just guessing though.

That's a common phrase we hear on the forum!
