Got mine all working with Daox kit. It should be noted that the clutch switch doesn't come with a nut or grommet, so you will need to purchase that separately. I have mine installed with double sided tape and will be picking up the nut today from a dealer that ordered it. Nut was $2, grommet/washer/whatever it is was $3. Not sure if that's really needed but it wasn't enough money to give it any more thought than just trying it. Also, mine will set at any speed above 25.

I've been meaning to post how my kit install went also! It was very easy and I may have just used duct tape to hold down the clutch switch (not recommended) because I'm impatient. It work perfectly thank you doax. Also I ended up splicing the cruise wires together so I could plug that plug back in. I have to have my horn functioning, especially in this little thing, no one sees you.

Great to hear of another happy user.

Bzacon and the rest of us at the meet did test this out. It definitely does disable your horn sadly. Splicing in is a not too difficult fix.

Alternatively, I could offer a piggyback harness, but that would increase the price at least another $15. Those little connectors aren't cheap if you can even find them.

I would reccomend using the squeeze-tap connectors...there is just enough room to get them in there; BUT! make sure you use the ones for 22 AWG or smaller wire, otherwise you won't get a reliable connection - the factory wires are about 26 or 24 AWG.

I would definitely buy a piggyback harness if you make one, I've had mixed results with squeeze-tap connectors. I definitely have a few on the mirage already, but I try to avoid them now since I've had to replace many due to faulty connections.

Hoping one of you can help me troubleshoot - i've got the hardware installed and wired up. I'm having trouble getting ETACS decoder to connect.

Put in all the settings as described in DAOX walkthrough. Click the "ON" button and here is what the Log outputs:

If you check your device manager, are there any errors in there for the mini VCI cable? In your PM, I think you said you were using a Windows XP machine. It might not have updated drivers for the cable?

Also, just double checking, but you have your key set to 'on' right?

Have you messed with the connector type and port selection that are described on the decoder website

Got it working... user error :)

After uninstalling, and reinstalling, rinse, repeat... I realized the problem as soon as the red LED on the cable turned on - I hadn't been getting a good connection to the car port (DUH). In my defense, the cable I used with VAG-COM on my previous car (Audi) didn't have an LED, so never even thought about it. Only took 3 days to figure it out!

All that said, the cruise control works like a champ. And I can now reset the wheel circumference when I upgrade my wheels later this month. Happy days.
