Its not hard to wire them up yourself. I've added heated seats to cars before with aftermarket kits. Its just two wires for power and the switch to control them.

Looked under the seat of a 2019 SE hatchback. Heated seat wiring chilling there waiting for something to plug in. So I guess the ES model has a different body harness...

The fuse box would be the same one on all trim levels, hence the space for the relay. But for Mits to have different wiring harnesses in the trim levels NOW as evidenced by Dodge not having the wiring VS. all trim levels of older Mirages having all the wiring for options (as far as we know) smacks of EXTREME cheapness, stupidity, or both. I did cost performance at one time and I'd really be surprised Mits is saving anything what with having 2 harnesses to source and stock, have the assembly line rigged for two harnesses, require service manuals to reflect 2 harnesses and this is only for heated seats for crying out loud! Multiply that by all the changes among the trim levels and it can total some serious coin.

Looked under the seats in my 2015 DE 5 speed... no heated seat wiring in that car, either. My 2019 SE has the wiring there, though!

how are two heated seats controlled with a single relay? i understand that the relay can be cycled on and off with different frequency's to create low and high heat but how does 1 relay control two independently controlled heated seats?
please consider checking out my Mirage related youtube channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC6c...IEViRFw/videos
The relay sends power to the switch. Switch itself handles the low and high settings and power distribution to the seats.
