Mark: you should have left your post. It was funny.
It keeps looking like Christmas here. More snow last night...

I'm offended that Mark changed his post.

After driving the white car for a day I kinda want to keep it now. It's does seem to drive noticeably better. When you take off from a stop it actually moves, almost like a real car!

Or speedo swap? I wonder if I could pass the black car off as having 50k lol. It hasn't seen a dealer since 2014 iirc. I should take the black car in anyways for the airbag recall. The light was on when I bought it(front airbag sensor code) so I just cleared it and it's stayed out until Friday when I hit a huge dip in the road doing 70mph and almost bottomed out the suspension.

If the engine was replaced with a current model one, it's those extra 4 horsepower you are experiencing!

Would like get your impression on the new tires some day.

I don't think they put a 2017+ engine in it. The part number on the work order was for a 2014-2015 I believe. It has a 1230A105 oil filter on it without the anti-drainback valve. I haven't notice any noise on startup, it sat outside last night and it was -10c/14f this morning.

I only drove on the fancy new tires this morning. The compound is far stiffer than the el cheapo rotella snow tires I have. For the first few minutes in town I could hear tire noise. Then I quite paying attention after that and tried to remember how to blindly use the rostra cruise control again.

All this makes me wonder which engine I'm gonna get for my 2018 Mirage? Still waiting for the replacement engine (warranty) from Mitsubishi!

If you have a 2018 I'd assume you get a 2018 engine. 2017 and newer have different camshaft and maybe some other minor changes.
I have a 2014 so I got a 2014-2015 engine. Hopefully one less prone to knocking.

Yes, I'd rather have the updated engine. I noticed the differences (however small) between my 2015 Mirage engine, and the updated 2018.
