Just got the call break fluid leak

Just got the call break fluid leak

Should have pull the back drums the first time fluid was added.
    2015 ES 100 K miles.
Had to add some break fluid twice now in the last month or so.
Glad I sent some break fluid with daughter when she went back to collage.
Keep ya posted she is due back Friday Feb 16 2024

I think one of back breaks is leaking at the drum?
Changed out the shoes 7 months ago / 6 K miles.

    Fun stuff

Sorry to hear this, here's hoping it's an easy fix.

Have you noticed any oil stains under the car in that area?

Based on the picture you posted HERE about 6 months ago, it looks like you may have a wheel cylinder weeping a little fluid. Fummins called it back then in that thread.

It was because the shoe was warn and caused the piston to extend out too far. The weeping stopped after I replace the shoes. I will post my findings and look for new wheel cylinders in case I need one. Thanks

I think there is a 2019 Mirage in the junk yard?
Do you think the rear cylinder will fit my 2015?
    Thanks

You can compare part numbers on one of the various Mitsubishi parts vendors websites online. Try Mitsubishi Parts Now and enter the vehicles & model years you are interested in & compare the part numbers.

The cylinder itself is physically the same but the pistons are different lengths.

I had a flashback from the mid 80s when it came to the price and available of this break cylinder.
    $110 from AutoZone

Grabbed a 2019 break cylinder from the junkyard. Even if I have to return it I found a wheel with tire from date code 2522 and over 6/32 of tread on it so I picked it up. $23.98 + tax so grabbed it.

Just bought one on RockAuto. DYNAMIC FRICTION is the make. Not sure I like the Dynamic part tho
Watched some YouTube videos on how to rebuild them.

    Keep ya posted.
