Ok, I'm late in posting this. I paid around 15,000 then I got 1,000 rebate But I had A trade that tacked a little bit on top of that. I didn't try to Jew them down because they were taking back Thir defective car they sold me 6 months earlier . So I was just Happy they were doing that to keep them selves off the Better Bussness Buraru .A long story made short I got a Elantra that passed carFax But Failed Auto check here! I think I was being took by a faulty CarFax . But I whanted a ES but the colors that I had to choose from I didn't care for. So I'm Happy with my Bluejellybean

I forgot to mention mine was in Canadian dollars which makes it less than $12000 USD for a new 2014 SE CVT. Phew! Your $13687 for the 2015 had me worried until I realized it was USD.

    I paid $14,083 + T&L for my '15 5-speed ES in December, and my girlfriend paid $11,880 + T&L for her '14 5-speed DE in February.

I´m surprised about the high price for the Mirage in the US. Normally cars are much cheaper than in Germany (especially bigger cars), but I paid only 10500 € for my Space Star 1.2 special edition model. If I would have bought the car in yellow or purple color, I would have got the car for 9980 € (new, not a one-day registration or demo model). At the moment, you can get a Space Star 1.0 for 6666 € in Germany, transportation costs included.
    Mitsubishi Space Star 1.2:
    Daihatsu Cuore L251:

Delivery, DMV and dealer transaction fees added $1900 to my 2015 DE manual. Without them I paid $11,064. Those 3 fees are supposedly not negotiable, just a cost passed to the buyer. I guess if they discount the price, it's not supposed to be one of those fees.

It doesn't matter the total is the same, what I call the "out the door price". The first dealership I went to tried to add $1300 in those same fees when I asked them (after a couple hours of negotiations) how much I needed to bring to buy the car outright. I guess they aren't used to that. I left and called them to say that was not acceptable, and went home and shopped around and found this deal. It was 110 miles away but the wife was driving there the next day regardless to meet up with her daughters so I hitched a ride.

    regards
    mech

The US model cars seem to come with more standard equipment than other countries. The 1.0 engine isn't even available here.
