Thread: How much did you pay for your Mirage?

  1. #641
$2400 plus tax for my 2014 top trim 5-speed with 90k miles / 145k kilometers.

When new, this model was $15,898 + $1450 mandatory freight charge = $17,348. With Ontario+federal taxes: $19,603. Doesn't include unknown dealer charges. So let's be generous and say $20k out the door.

A 5 year-old car for 12% of its new cost is crazy.

$15000 OTD on the 19 Mirage SE hatch I bought new (before counting my trade in) and $5800 OTD on my used 15 Mirage DE 5 speed with 70K miles on it.

You darn Canadians with your super cheap used Mirages... absolutely crazy. Here by Chicago, they don't exist... at all.

Here in Michigan if you want a mirage with all the bells and whistles and dont want the base model or the hatch you pay for it big time.
This is the cost at first glance, this isnt the reciept where we got all the extra corrosion protection and 3 year no questions asked tire and wheel protection and a list of other things plus the crazy tax we pay. Also we had discounts to like the loyalty discount and new car discount and some others i cant remember at the moment. My wife has the actual receipt but it was $23 all said and done. I also want to correct earlier statement about the miles when we got the car it had 24 miles when we first test drove it and 29 miles when we drove it home.

Mine wasn't as cheap as wally and metro's but I haven't seen one as cheap out here with such low miles yet. I usually find better deals after the fact.
I paid $6000 for a 14 SE Cvt with 37k km/22990miles. Still has original tires on it came with weathertec floor mats, the carpet and rubber mitsubishi ones that are still new in the bag. And a block heater.

^ It's an outright amazing deal when you consider the new cost.

    When new, mine was $15,898 + $1450 mandatory freight charge = $17,348.

Yours was that plus $1200 more for the CVT.

And that doesn't even include taxes or the varioius fees/scams added on by the dealership.

I just looked up the new price for the Armada we just dumped. $65000 new! I couldn't fathom paying that, especially back in 2004. I just sold it for close to what i paid for the Mirage lol.

How many miles do you think that Armada has left in her?

Lots, it only had 165000km/102500miles on it. I started to question the mileage cause it need a lot of work for such low k. When we bought it last year both front struts were broken, front caliper pins siezed, arm rest was worn out, buttons on steering wheel and brake pedal were worn down. And the rad was starting to leak so I replaced that the day before I sold it.
The guy who just bought it made me do a carfax on it, there were lots of service records that all lined up so it's legit. The drivetrain is solid and should last another 100k miles/160k km. But everything else will probably fail around it

$7,400 including taxes, tags, registration for the 2015 ES w/25k on the dial. Almost jumped on another deal back in May for a 2014 ES with 94k, they couldn’t get rid of it until they dropped it to $3400.

Sooner or later I'm going to slip and let out what I paid for my 2014 so I'll reveal it now. I suspect at this point I hold the record for the cheapest Mirage in roadworthy condition without being a salvage or writeoff. The car is amazingly clean. Underhood has less rust and evidence of age than my 2017.

$1600 CDN or about $1214.31 USD. SE trim, 239,000Kms or 145,790 miles. Condition. 9/10.

This was either a $11,200 CDN car out the door or a $20,000 CDN car out the door.

I say both those prices because I bought a brand new 2014 SE trim in very late 2016 and I paid $11,200 CDN OTD but the sticker on this car in 2014 would have been $15,898 plus freight, PDI, sneaky dealer charges + 13% taxes!!! which makes it a $20,000 CDN car.
