Hello RCC and welcome to the Garage.
How do you like your Z-Edge camera?
It's my daily driver now, in one year I put 50,000 miles on it.
WeatherTech deflectors front and rear
Tow hitch with Mandalorian cover
Replaced Mitsubishi and Mirage emblems with a TARDIS chameleon Edition emblem
Firefly license plate holder in the back Flexframe in the front
Evangelion parking permit in the front window
Z-EDGE Z2 front and rear dash cam
LED interior lights
Sony 5-1/4 3-way Speakers
Kenwood DMX7704S with backup cam
Vega 10in low profile subwoofers
Been floating the idea of setting up a cold air intake
I plan on getting godspeed coilovers
15in Maxxim maze rims
Bridgestone Ecopia 185/55R15
So far it's been really good, it had a lot of vibration at first. So I built up some double-sided tape between the glass and the back of the cam. so that it's making more contact with the mirror, it helped a lot.
That's a suction cup mount, right? I never thought it would let the camera shake around - I figured they were sturdy mounts. My dashcam straps to and replaces the rear view mirror. It shakes some during operation but I don't notice it when viewing the video.
I also have a cell phone holder on a suction cup mount on my dashboard. I use it to monitor my OBD-II app along with various other smartphone stuff. I suppose if could be used as a dashcam, but it doesn't cycle files in memory like a dedicated dashcam.
My dashcam is the same it straps to and replaces the mirror. And your right the shake doesn't show up on the video. I just wanted to reduce the shake during the drive.
As for my car mount it's a posocket car mount super stable.
