Wow that's a lot of work. Sounds expensive too.

Nice progress!
How does it drive?

Drives pretty good, boost comes on around 2-2.5k rpm, 5th has instant pickup, I'm much happier overtaking on the highways how it is now, it's got a bit of surge in the lower load points like partial throttle 2nd to 3rd and 3rd to 4th as I haven't got the fuelling dialed in 100%, long term fuel trims are about -11 at the moment so have a little way to go.
Gonna hopefully get a quarter mile run in the next few months once I'm happy with it, thinking I might do springs soon as I already have ultra racing strut bars and rear sway bar to fit.
I reckon I'm probably $1250- 1500USD into it at the moment. Luckily my labour is free.

Very nice work. I've been eyeing a local 5sp 2014 mirage for the same thing; too boost it. Would not be boosting in top gear.... especially if it's an OD gear. Good way to grenade your transmission or burn a piston since engine speed is comparatively lower lol. That ECU is tunable as is and I believe it is also tunable for boost... I'd check out www.ovtuned.com you may be able to get yourself a pro remote tune (datalog exchange) and be set!

In regards to your surging; where is your MAF in relation to your turbo? Is it in front of the compressor inlet or in the charged area? Also if you have a VTA bov try plumbing it to recirculate.. vta messes up your maf reading during the shift with the already metered air.
He is in Australia. He doesn't have a MAF sensor, just a MAP sensor.

Then im gonna assume the map is in the charge area for his application.
I really like this it's alot like what I did for my cx5. Fabbed up a complete rear mount turbo with a SMAW welder with 0 pripr experience lol. Ended up removing it and buoldibg another prototype thats shelved for now. Car is too expensive for me to be experimenting on right now lol
any updates on this? i wanted to see and hear how this run

Looks like it moves pretty good. Thanks for the teasers.
