    Missing screw?

    Hi,

Just noticed something strange under bonnet. Is it normal or this is a missing screw? Please see picture.

    2017 Mirage ES

Just checked mine (base model), and there's nothing there. Just an empty hole that has been tapped.

There was an engine mount design change around 2015
I think. That's probably when they stopped putting the rubber damper on there.
FYI.. my 2017 SLE (GT) doesnt have it either.
    Will weld for beer.

I wonder how many complaints it took until they decided to eliminate that unused hole?

So what year did the hole disappear, & does anyone have a theory on what the hole was meant for in the first place?

I just noticed it mia on the 2023's. We don't have any 2020-2022 models at work so It may have been a 2021(or whatever year the latest refresh came out) thing?
If you look really close on the picture in the second post above you can see a little black dingus(vibration damper?) bolted to the top of the mount. Looks to be a 2014 only(North american market) thing. Probably came on older models in other markets.
