Thread: Vancouver gas prices...highest ever in North America?!?

  1. #211
I wonder how long it’ll be until gas stations raise the max $$ transaction limit at the pump? It took me 2 tries to fill up Bertha Attachment 23449

    $1.83/L is $5.50/gallon

More likely to see a limit to how much you can purchase, if history is any indicator. I'll leave the rationing history lessons for Dirk, that's his specialty.

Not only do us Mericans not know what a liter is, but either we or you Canucks don't know how to spell it. Course we no how to spell real good so it must be misspelled on the gas pump.

Good catch, I've always used the 'merican spelling. Looks like the rest of the world spells it litre but you guys are the US is the only one who spells it liter? Everyone else must be wrong lol.

Of course, we Mericans don't know how to spell. We're the ones who spelled "arrogance" as "exceptionalism"; we couldn't even get the number of letters right. But, I'm still proud to be an American, I just try not to be exceptional about it.

No, in Dutch, Danish and German it's also liter. For me litre looks French.

When I first glanced at the pic, I thought that's not all that bad for 108 gallons. Then it clicked in my mind that it was almost 109 liters, and that just sucked! That's close to $7/gallon for us backward Americans.

Fummins - I had this issue down here when the limits were set at $100. Diesel was in the barely over $3 range and I would need 30 to 33 gallons. I always wanted my tank plum fuel, so I'd have to run it twice.

the closest station to me is $2.15 a liter. Thats 6.49 USD/Gallon. They already raised the transaction limits for credit card at pumps here. That makes a tank of gas 31*2.15=66.66 dollars or 53.17 USD. God dam im going to start fred flinstoning this ****.

I have to fill Mirage #3 today - it's at one blinking square on the gauge. I gambled on timing and lost - prices at record highs.
