In my city the Dealerships (not Mitsubishi; other brands) that offered free lifetime oil changes or free lifetime car washes would make customer wait 4 or 6 hours each time in an effort to dissuade them in the future from coming back to claim their free oil changes.

Its good that your current dealership does not engage in such under-handed tactics like that.

If you bought your Mirage new, that's 235,000 miles divided by 5,000 miles/oil change = 47 free oil changes. They must know you by name! You may be getting conventional oil instead of synthetic, but who cares?

Given the miles you drive, I have to believe the majority of it is highway miles. 5,000 mile oil changes are the new norm (vs. 3,000) with today's cars and oils. I realize some go way beyond 5,000 miles on synthetic, but I would rather change my oil a little to early than to late. Plus, there are two maintenance schedules - 3,750 miles/3 months or 7,500 miles/6 months. Oil changes at 5,000-6,000 miles is somewhere between the two.

Your "cheap plastic car" with its free oil changes is definitely affordable transportation.

Replaced passenger side headlight with another el cheap bulb from eBay. I have one eBay bulb left in my inventory. When I get home this evening I will order a pair of Sylvania bulbs to keep as spares.

I've had bad luck ordering bulbs online. I bought a bunch of bulbs for the house years ago from walmart online(cause I'm lazy),a few different brands. They all only lasted a few months if that. I figured it was caused by being thrown around during shipping.

I've used ge in the cars here for years with no problems, now we're going with Sylvania.
