This post is somewhat Mitsubishi Mirage related. I plan to use my cheap plastic car to transport my bicycle to a charity event this weekend. Below are the details.

I've signed up for Bike MS—a fundraising ride that is changing the lives of people affected by multiple sclerosis and helping fuel progress toward a world free of MS.

This is an event where several teams of people cycle across parts of Alabama to raise funds and awareness for those affected by MS.

Some of us plan to ride 150 miles this weekend in support of this cause. Please consider making a donation to Bike MS to help fund amazing progress in MS research, as well as services that ensure people affected by MS can live their best lives. This cause is really important to me, so I hope you will help me end MS forever.

Every penny you give goes straight to the MS Society. I do not receive one cent. I am fully funding my own expenses for this fund raiser such as travel/bicycle/lodging/food etc… I am simply doing this because a friend of mine is affected by MS and I wish to do something to help raise awareness. I believe in this cause and I have made a donation as well.

Please consider making a donation, any size helps, by clicking the link below. Thanks.

Bicycle and gear are packed into the cheap plastic car. It's amazing what you can fit in this thing.

    Falken tires

I appreciate you sharing your positive experience with Falken tires. Ironically, the Dunlop Enasave tires are made/owned by Sumitomo Rubber Industries, which also makes Falken tires.

Quoting another source: "Sumitomo Rubber Industries, Ltd. is a global tire and rubber company based in Japan. It is part of the Sumitomo Group. The company makes a wide range of rubber based products, including automobile tires, golf balls and tennis balls. Sumitomo brands include Dunlop Tyres, Falken Tire and Ohtsu Tire."

If you look closely @ a factory Dunlop Enasave tire, you will find Sumitomo Rubber stamped on it. In the past, I considered Dunlop tires to be a cheaper version of Goodyear tires made elsewhere.

Overall, Falken tires are inexpensive. It's good to hear someone is really happy with them. Given the miles you have racked up on your Mirage, no one should doubt your experience with tires. Thanks for sharing. I appreciate it!!!

    217,557 miles

This morning I noticed that the passenger side low beam was not working. I pulled into a gas station, when inside to pee, and then went outside and change the bulb. All is well and I now have lights again. There is a little bit of an explanation as to why I've replaced so many lights. I drive with my lights on during the day for safety.

Have you ever considered a set of dedicated LED driving lights? They might save you money in the long run in bulbs & fuel.
