You seem to know cars pretty well but you're not touching the bulbs with your hands when you install them are you? Also are you making sure they are firmly secure?

Those are the two main reasons bulbs blow out prematurely.

Whenever you see a cars lights jiggling around it's because the bulbs not locked in place.

Once every tire rotation, roughly every 7,500 miles.

I must add, that I have been getting my bulbs off eBay. I get two for $3.50 shipped! At that price, I wouldn't be surprised if I simply got a bad batch of bulbs.

I have two bulbs remaining in my inventory. Should those bulbs have a short life, I am going to switch to Sylvania's most expensive bulb.

Either I have been installing poorly made bulbs, or I have an intermittent electrical issue. The alternator and battery tested fine, so I'm pretty confident the bulbs are at fault.

Ironically, the higher priced halogen bulbs actually have a shorter life than the cheaper ones. The trade off is you get more lumens out of them. So, if you're looking for a longer life bulb, I'd stick with their basic halogen. If you want the extra brightness, you'll have to deal with shorter life and more frequent replacement.

I can’t believe I am saying this but thanks for the advice. I guess I’ll try plain Sylvania halogen lights if my next two cheap bulbs don’t last long.
