Mirage Center Console w/ Arm Rest

My wife and I both own mirages. We bought both center consoles. I have the one that does not fold up(made for a Yaris) which cost a bit less than the other one that folds back and is made for the Mirage. The one that folds seems a bit less robust, in terms of build quality, but it does fold up and has a bit less storage potential that the one that does not fold back. They are both nice. I think I prefer the solid one that does not fold back to the folding one so far. The non-folding version I had to cut a bit off to flatten the part that fits into the cup holder and, like suggested, I wrapped it with some 1/8" foam weatherstripping. I screwed it down with three screws. It seems fine. The extra storage is great!

I secured mine with screws and put 3/4" blocks between the brake lever housing and the seat. It firmed it up a bit.

Mike, I too would like to welcome you and your wife to our forum! I have the console you have, I believe, the one from Union City, CA. that has the tray and coin holder inside. You mention some blocks you put in to firm it up won't you give us a few pics to show those blocks, I might do the same.

I have a white cat that sleeps in the garage and he's shedding at the moment... Its spring time here and he's getting rid of his winter coat... Its everywhere, but I vacuumed shortly after and its brand new again....

Okay, just pulled the trigger on an OEM center armrest. Seller is in Thailand. Price for the armrest is quite reasonable, but shipping to the States sucks. Was charged for 2 kg, doubt it weighs half that. Hope the damned thing fits. Stay tuned...
