I'd need some justification before I'd decide to get the pulley. So far I'm not interested. Any Hp numbers?

Light crank pulleys and flywheels are interesting. They don't create power. They sort of "liberate" some power. Really, I'd say it's more torque. It takes torque to TURN that rotating mass. Less mass means more torque available to the wheels.

It will show on a dyno, but it won't show as a big HP number. It will show as a small gain in torque everywhere, and a small gain in HP at the peak.

You probably won't find dyno numbers on just a crank pulley, and almost certainly not for a MIRAGE. But, if you dig, you can find articles about Corvettes and/or big V8 engines and "does a lightweight flywheel really make a difference?" And they will readily indicate 4 hp improvement... on a 350 hp V8. It's measurable. But, that peak HP number doesn't tell the whole story. To get that 4-5 HP peak, you're getting probably 2-4 ft/lbs of torque EVERYWHERE. It's not a lot, but it's a verifiable 1-2% more power that goes to accelerating the car vs accelerating a flywheel. And that will scale down to the Mirage. So, maybe it would be 1 hp? Something like that. But, it would be an improvement.

And the "feel" of such lightness goes beyond the actual numbers. The engine is going to feel like it's revving easier. Because it is.

A crankshaft pulley isn't as massive or as large diameter as a flywheel, so it's effects will be less than that of a flywheel. But, you can still feel it.

If it's the ONLY thing you're going to do, it's probably not worth it. If you're also going to do lightweight wheels, and maybe someday (when they become available) a lightweight flywheel... it's a great part of a rotational inertia lightening program that combined will make a significant difference.
    Simplify and add lightness.

Thats what I was thinking. I've removed the crankshaft pulley on the Delorean several times. I used a 5 ft cheater pipe the first time and destroyed the original pulley in the process. Fortunately I had a spare.

These days I use an electric impact wrench. It takes only a few seconds to remove that stupid nut with the correct tool. The only downside on the Delorean is I have to remove the exhaust and loosen the bumper to get my impact in there.

Maybe I'm wrong, but I can't see fitting an impact wrench in the Mirage without removing the engine, but an impact might be necessary depending on how tight that nut is.

These pulleys should be the same for the '17 MY, right?

My guess is "yes", being its the same engine. Daox has a post somewhere around here about the changes on the '17 model. I recall some changes about the cams and the timing chain tensioner, but nothing about the pulley system. Someone here will know this for sure, though.

Sent query to NST, follow up later.

NST response in regards to specific model year application:
"As long as the engine specs are the same and/or very similar and the engine code hasn't changed then the pulleys should not change. It is very rare for the OEMs to change pulley design midway through the life cycle of any engine."

    "Hopefully that helps."

    So, Mitsubishi Mirage 2012+.

    Heres the latest from NST:
"Attached are a handful of photos that you can use to help you create a little more buzz in your info/group buy threads."

"Your OEM pulleys that you sent us are on the left, NST pulleys are on the right. Please note: These photos are NOT of the EXACT pulleys you will be receiving, they are simply meant to be a representative EXAMPLE."
