2017 Mirage hatch at LKQ Pull a Part-Milwaukee

Is someone going to take this opportunity to get the upgraded brakes or those extra few horsepower? Thought I'd give a heads up .

That car had an incredibly short life...

Looks like a possible rollover. Soon to become a pancake like the cars behind it?

I haven't been to one of these "you-pull-it" yards in a while. There is a yard in my area that has a "sale" a couple of times a year where it's one price for everything you can carry out in one load. Unfortunately there are no Mirages there...yet.

If you're paying for it, plus a tip for my time why not. What are you looking to get?

Prices seem pretty reasonable according to this price list

Could someone tell me why these cars are wrecked so much? If you go to car-part.com there are boatloads that have been wrecked. I looked at one online today that had 285 miles on the odo. Copart has allot of Mirages too that have been wrecked.

I think there are 2 things going on here...

These cars are often purchased/driven by younger drivers...who as a group tend to have more accidents.

The other thing is that it's fairly easy to "total" a Mirage because of its weak resale value. If you're driving a Mirage that's more than 2 years old and you damage multiple body panels (or have one or more airbags deploy), then it's cheaper for the insurance company to pay you the value for the car rather than repair it. That's why there will always be a good supply of Mirages in salvage yards and/or Mirages that are for sale with salvage titles.
