    Hi,

My pre-owned Mirage (2013) comes with this set of tools.

Anyone knows what that black box with the gauge is?
Looks like some kind of diagnostic tool, but I am not sure.

    Cheers,
    E.

If the car came without a spare, it's probably a tire inflator. Take it out of the package and look at it.
    Simplify and add lightness.

Great! Will do, once I retrieve it back from the dealer.
    Yup, no spare tire...

    Thanks for the info.

My guess too: didn't see a spare tire, and that may be a container of tire sealant underneath the air pump.

    And... welcome to the forum!

    Thanks for the warm welcome.

It feels great to be here.
Picked up my first-ever Mirage (pre-owned though) only just last night... so a few things are still a bit hazy.

My first-ever Mirage will also be pre-owned.

    One day it will happen!

    Wink

    Hehehe. That's cool too.

Mine's been very well maintained. Absolutely perfect for me.
Might share pics of 'Chica' handling the Kampala roads soon...

(Apart from that tyre inflator gadget which went AWOL suddenly...)

I'm sure your dealer will take care of this for you. At least you have photographic evidence that it was present at the time of purchase.

Ugh, I've had the worst luck with that kind of thing from used car dealers.

Buying from a used car dealer, I've come to expect that there will be NOTHING in the car except maybe a spare, and if I'm lucky a jack kit. More often than not, there is no manual, no jack, no [insert accessories that are unique to this car], no floor mats, and NO spare keys.

And if they "do anything for you", it's not going to be done well. If you balked at the missing tire pump, you'd probably end up with a junky $8 aftermarket one.

Oh, and be sure to check your battery tie-down! If they touched the battery, those are notorious for being missing or loose.

My guess is that a lot of dealers have somebody snagging stuff like this and selling it on eBay.

And the battery tie-downs... people are lazy and just stupid, and don't realize that a loose battery can short out and cause a fire!

    Indeed, they're on it now.
Just emailed in a damage report. Should turn out okay in the end.

    Thanks for the support.
