Mirage takes "cheapest to own" crown again in Australia
The Royal Automobile Club of Australia study looked at 140 new cars and rated them for items such as on-road costs, depreciation and servicing.

The
Mirage ES was helped by having the lowest list price of any car in Australia ($12,250) and its running costs — fuel, tyres and servicing — amounted to just $12.39 a week.
But... it must be said it won because the Mirage's closest competitor AU (and previous winner) was pulled from the market in 2017. That would be the Suzuki Celerio, which if I'm not mistaken, was even cheaper to buy, was smaller & lighter, and had a more fuel efficient 1.0L engine. But wasn't selling well enough to justify keep it on the market.

The Celerio was cancelled because the "micro car" segment has experienced double-digit sales declines in general:
