The sun is setting on our little attempt at a group buy, with just 2 days left. I want to thank all of those who participated in the discussion, and I am grateful to those who put their money where their mouth is. We have the original handful who have always been interested. I queried NST about a "small" discount for those who are interested and have been patient. I will post their response later.

Sometimes a community's just not quite big enough to pull off some of these things.

Thanks for organizing & running with it, Qrush.

If you could have them made at a wholesale rate (NST is still making all the profit here, there's no way you could sell them for more), making them available globally... it would probably be worth having a run of 20 or 50 of them. Nobody else is making this part, even in the places where the car is very popular. They would sell.

But, it would take an initial investment.
    Simplify and add lightness.

Thank you for the kind words, Met. I believe that in time, the pulleys will catch on in the Asian/Pacific market. The market is good for the Mirage over there and I am sure they will be a hit with a lot of their modders. This was a market I lacked the linguistic skills enough to proffer our NST pulleys to their various forums.

How do you know someone isn't already selling aluminum pulleys in Asia?

How do YOU know they ARE? Show me a website that has a full set of lightweight OEM-diameter pulleys for the 3A92 platform, Steve. Go ahead, I will wait. I understand your a contrarian, but sometimes you just look foolish.

Will you still order a set Qrush? If I understand correctly it's still possible to get the pulleys without any discounts.

On the other hand it could be an investment opportunity to buy the remaining sets.

    Just thinking about the possibilities.

I agree, its difficult with these small communities to put buys together for parts. There just isn't the demand to order parts in quantity, and without quantity you can't get the price down to a 'reasonable' level.

Loren is right, if you can make them wholesale and in bulk you can get a good deal. But, you have to hold on to the inventory. This is what I did with the rear sway bars. I had a bunch made up to get the price down. I still have a bunch left and they very slowly are selling.

Custom Mirage products: Cruise control kit, Glove box light, MAF sensor housing, Rear sway bar, Upper grill block

Current project: DIY Nitrous oxide setup for ~$100
