Mitsu has too short a history in North America, the market very well might be different overseas. Don't forget how many gens the Civic has been here

Sure, I could import a set of KYBs from Malaysia. But that's going to be pricey.
But literally, no one offers a replacement shock for our Mirages in North America. After how many years on the market and 100,000 units sold, you're relegated to ultra-expensive, cheaply made OE shocks. That's crazy to me. And it's just the Mirage. KYB offers replacement shocks for 2014 Outlander Sport ... but not the 2014 Mirage.
And Mitsubishi has been in the U.S. as a stand-alone brand since 1982. That's longer than Hyundai, Kia—and yes, KYB also makes shocks for 2014 Rios.

I think you end up paying for the brand name, and if one of the threads here's true that only 5500 or so Mirages have sold so far this year in the U.S., not much is going to change. Supply and demand.
The rear wiper OEM for the Mirage is cheaply made, the motor in the car surely isn't - any way rear wiper retails almost 40$ Canadian or 35 USA dollars

Mistu does also sell the Mirage in MX.
