Do you know what I have to do to get the cruise switch installed with this 4400A401 harness it doesnt plug directly into the back of the switch. The plug I have has 4 pins and the back of the switch has 6. I saw another post on here that said they added radio controls using this harness but they had to do some minor modifications to it. I just dont know what modifications they did.

I'm not 100% sure, but there should be two plugs. One for Audio and One for Cruise. The other end should replace the plug going into your column currently with the horn ground.

OK I know this is an older thread, but I'm hoping for some help.
I have an 18 ES. I bought the Cruise switch, and installed it in the car. No issue. Since Mine is a CVT model, I didn't need the clutch switch so I moved on to ETACS. I was able to activate both the cruise enable and cruise equipped tabs in ETACS.

I really thought I was home free, but when i drive the car. the cruise light comes on, but the cruise does not engage. What am I missing??? The brake light switch on my car is a two pin, two wire unit. Is this my issue? I think I read somewhere that I need a 4 wire switch to make the cruise work, but there are only 2 wires going to the brake switch.

I'm taking a long trip in 3 weeks and would really like to have this solved by then, but I have a sinking feeling that my harness may not be equipped to take this setup.

On the plus side I was able to activate my Fog lights and they work great!

I have a 2018 ES Manual. I purchased a Cruise switch, clutch switch and brake switch. My car already had the 4 pin brake switch installed.

I was able to run the ETACS programing and install the Cruse and clutch switch. I have the same issue as Mrfixit the cruise indicator will turn on, but I can't set the speed.

Mrfitit, does your cancel button also toggle the indicator on and off?

Yes. The cancel button turn the light on and off as well.

I hope we can find a solution to this issue!

How many pins are in your brake switch?

MrFixit, you will need the other brake switch to make the cruise work.

Fielious, you may want to check your resistor values. They should match what is in the downloadable service manual. I don't have them handy at the moment. But, I know there were a couple different cruise switch plates that fit the steering wheel and they are not all the same.

    Oh, yes!

Did you use an Outlander switch or a Mirage switch on your steering wheel?

Daox, I was wondering the same, so I checked the resistor values last night. They are not correct.

MrFixit, you probably have the same since the cancel button toggles the indicator on and off.

I did put together a quick resistor tree on a breadboard and cruse does work on the 2018 with the correct resistance.

In this thread I used a switch out of the 2013-15 US Mirage.

    What did you get?
