Thread: Add OEM Cruise to 17-18 US Mirages easily and without changing your steering wheel!

  1. #21
Weird, the 17 that I looked at came with a 4 wire brake light switch. It doesn't have cruise but has radio controls on the wheel. I just saw this thread. I had a steering wheel from a 15' with radio/bluetooth controls on the wheel. It didn't come with cruise but it does have the connector already there for it. I assume it'd have the same 4 pin brake switch on our 15's then.

I got one off an ebay seller, so it was probably incorrectly labeled. I did a search for PN: 8602A115.

The brake switch is a orange plugged 4 wire switch. The cruise switch is part number 8602A088 Are you thinking that is the wrong cruise switch?

My car already had the 4 wire switch installed, I just needed to install the clutch switch and cruise switch.

I did test with the correct resistance and the cancel button should not toggle the dash indicator on and off.

I'm not sure of the part number that I have, but I was looking for for number: 8602A115. I think 8602A088 is for the older Mirage.
I purchases this switch from ebayDONT GET THIS ONE)

Has anyone purchased any parts from paintersmitsubishi.com?

Where did you get your cruise switch from? Also were you able to find the orange 4 wire switch for your car?

That is the exact set I bought from Ebay. So it is wrong? OK. I'll order the other part number.

My car already had the 4 wire orange brake switch in it from the factory.

Did the cruise issues get sorted out? I'll probably the parts I need for a spring install if I can be sure of the parts I'll need.

Belated response to nutpantz after finding this thread searching for something else...

I'm sure you can do this to your 2019. Yes, the dealer can technically enable cruise, if they're willing to.

I'm using the MEDIC4 at the mitsubishi dealership I work for. Cruise control isn't listed on ETACS, it's listed on MFI and there's no customization nor parameter change that can be made. Using special function there is no option for changing the parameters to recognize cruise control.
