Red face DSM/VR4/Evo/Montero owner who loves Mitsubishi

    Hi.

I tend to be wordy, so I'll try to be brief.

I've been a Mitsubishi owner/enthusiast since 1996. The brand has literally changed my life. I want a Mirage. I want an Outlander. And an Outlander Sport. And an Eclipse Cross. (And pretty much everything else they've ever made.)

Which makes me a bit of an outlier. If you follow Mitsubishi (North America) on Instagram or Facebook, by now you've seen just how many of my "peers" are actively sabotaging just about everything they do online. They bring ignorant vitriol in spades, always decrying the loss of Mitsubishi models at least 90% of them never actually bought new in the first place.

Mitsubishi is known for their trucks, it's true, but they're also known for making fun-to-drive, fuel efficient vehicles—that just happen to end up being among the most potent motorsport weapons around from time to time.

I represent a small group of longtime owner/enthusiasts who want to help Mitsubishi stem the tide of ignorance—by helping spread word that the Mirage—along with Mitsubishi's other recent models—is a great little car, loved by owners, and being customized and modified like every Mitsubishi before it.

Got a good feeling about this place. Life requires I lurk, but I'm always listening.

EDIT: I guess I could maybe show some of my Mitsubishis, eh?

I had two at the same time for a time. Both are full caged now with new owners, destined for the rally stages. (As they were always meant to do.)

Awesome! I had #808/1000. Super cool to see some neat pictures of a GVR4 in action! I also owned a 2gb Eclipse GSX and the wife currently drives an 11' Outlander Sport. Love my Mitsubishis. I think people forget how much Mitsubishi offers compared to it's competitors, especially for what they're worth. When we bought my wife's Outlander Sport, we were looking at the Rav4s, CRVs, Sonatas and they were all $6k to $8k more with waay more mileage. Our OS offered more options than the others too. But now, I see an OS every day. lol.

Did you get a Mirage yet? They're probably the best "A-to-B" car out in the market right now, especially if you can find a 17-18' model for under $9,500.

You've definitely come to the right place -- lots of members here actively participate on other sites, and leave comments on blogs that unfairly malign the Mirage.
