    G4 OEM rear spoiler

Has anyone who installed the G4 OEM rear spoiler swapped out the trunk lid torsion bars? I installed the rear spoiler but didn't swap out the torsion bars and the trunk lid stays up as normal with the new spoiler attached. I would imagine these new torsion bars are stronger for holding up the trunk lid with the new spoiler. I'm going to see how it does but if it doesn't hold very well i will swap them out. Heck i might even do it the next couple of weeks for the hell of it.

If it works, I personally wouldn't bother.

Yea that's what i'm going to to. I hate to mess with something that works. I've done things in the past where i changed out something that was working fine and couldn't get the new thing to work correctly.

I doubt the torsion bars are different between cars with and without spoilers, especially since the spoiler is a dealer parts counter option.

The spoiler only weighs a few ounces, and I am sure there is some excess capacity designed into the lifts.
