Canada: Big expectations for Mitsubishi’s smallest car (Hamilton thespec.com)
A low-key review that examines the car from a reasonable perspective, as demonstrated by the sentence: "In terms of performance, it would be unfair to set the bar too high, as this vehicle is designed to be a fuel sipper."
A tidbit from this review that I didn't know: 34 of Canada's 88 Mitsu dealers are located in the province of Quebec, where the car was introduced, last month.
Pros:
- despite small size, reasonably roomy inside
- aerodynamic
- smooth & quiet drive with CVT
- materials texture & trim accents make interior feel less "entry level"
- low entry level price... but the base car is unlikely to attract many buyers
Cons:
- $1200 extra (in Canada) for the more efficient CVT not a good payback proposition
- loaded, the top-trim "SE" finds itself in the price range of bigger cars
- hard plastic interior bits, but nicely textured/trimmed with accents
Overall:
Let's just say that the Mirage is as quick as it needs to be in a vehicle that is inexpensive to buy, to fuel, and with its extensive warranty, to keep on the road. Check it out
