Where in the damned hell is my block heater cord again?

Yes, I searched the forum. Search is useless.

Anybody remind me? I used it like, once last year since we didn't own the car through the real cold spell.

I thought I remembered where the plug was but I don't. Can't find it. No google search results. Not mentioned in the owners manual, or I don't know what terms I'm searching for.

I ALSO could swear I saw it when switching to the winter tires like... yesterday. Again, can't find it for the life of me now. So, where can I trace it down or up from, where might I see the damned thing, any help appreciated.

    Yes, I have one.

Alright, I'm loosing my mind and in fact do not, to the best of my knowledge, have a block heater. Must have been the Jeep I was plugging in last year.

It's the canister-type, and I think it goes into the back end of the head above the transmission? If it isn't there, it never was.

If you need to install a block heater or you want to see pictures of where it is installed, check this thread:

They don't come with block heaters. Unless you got the dealer to put one in. They go in the front of the block below the intake behind the alternator. They do work well. I'm not sure why the mitsubishi's don't come with them, our Nissans and gm's all came with them. They should come standard in Canada.
