Before we get too far down the rabbit hole, we generally try to avoid ANY political discussions due to the current toxic nature of public discourse.

They're not mine, two men from Palembang-Indonesia modified their Mirage into some rally car. One had wide body and turbo.

Ill be sure and post if I get into any altercations over my Imperial Japanese flag lol. Honestly though considering how uneducated folks are in my neck of the woods, Im not too worried about it.

    Interesting debate on flags ..
Whilst on a trip to Indonesia my "then" girlfriend asked me for a british flag ..so i left her with a Union Jack...on my return to the UK i learnt she was taking a trip to Mnt Bromo ..( still smoking volcano) i asked her if she would fly the flag and take pics of which she did along with all her friends..when the pictures were posted on facebook the amount of angry people saying "this is politically wrong" was unbelievable. Hence they were deleted anyway but i still had to explain this was a task for my memories ..

Politically wrong for having a British flag? Unbelievable. In the UK its ok for one to display the Welch flag, Scottish flag, **** even the weird 3 legged Isle of Wight flag, but have one St. George ENGLISH flag in a parade and its controversial and uninclusive according to the BBC? I guess because the English dominated the other tribes of Britannia for millennia thats reason for controversy. But hey the Picts can watch Braveheart all day and beat their chests lol.

No doubt, people on either side of issues, the extremes always have a few things in common: they ignore nuance and the story behind things.., another thing they want to wave the biggest flag for said cause. Clanging pots rather than thinking for a minute, or using soundbites., many not new or particularly original.

Like if you knew the back story to your photos, your photos have nothing to do with past historical imperialism, territorial expansion that sort of thing, colonialism. Indonesia was a Dutch colony anyways. I can see how that was misconstrued by people on facebook, looking to stir the pot.

Not that I'm one to talk, lol.

Dude I can only chat so much about CVTs and curb weight before Im in need of intrigue and subterfuge lol. Its more of a Mitsubishi history discussion IMHO than politics.

Mirage looks great in the Ralliart decal theme. Wish I could get a turbo Mirage.

I like the history behind Mitsubishi's logo, represents 3 diamonds. Many people think it's a propeller symbol, like one suitable for a maker of airplanes, as well as cars..but I think it's actually an ancient clan logo that goes back centuries in Japan.
