Its 3 chestnuts actually but yes it would be cool to envision some badazz samurai from the Warring States period with that logo on his lacquered armor or helm. It'd look alot cooler than a Honda badge, thats for sure. Lololol

There's a few layers of interesting there. Also with Mitsubishi the whole fast and furious connection, the cult following of the Evo and Ralliart, the dark history with slave labour during wartime, and the fighter planes.

Also the Japanese Maritime Self Defense Force uses the striped flag currently. If its appropiate enough for their ships it shouldn't be too controversial this day and age. Its also commonly found in fashion, magazines, anime, etc.
