Guess which car headlines the article?

Interesting defense in the comments from someone who got a 5-speed Mirage to deliver pizzas.

Also interesting that some comments compare it to the Yaris as the way to "do it right". Yet Yaris sales are a fraction of the Mirage's.

It is a pretty crappy car but it sure is reliable. Mitsubishi makes good cheap cars.

I don’t brag about my car much but I’ve gotten as much as 55 mpg simply by driving in the 50s.

    So... it's too cheap?

I really don't understand the ire for the Mirage.

Self-professed 'car guys' used to understand cars like the Mirage. Even if they would not buy one themselves they understood why such cars existed. Not anymore. Now they all seem to get off on proudly saying something along the lines of "buy a used Corolla or take the bus!" when discussing this car. As if suggesting a used version of one of the most popular cars ever made proves they are some kind of automotive super-genius!

Used to be that if you wanted to see a good "top ten list" you had to watch Letterman. Now, the internet is crawling with them.

    Click-bait.

Chevy sells a ton of Traxs and the Buick variant, you see them on the road constantly, and I know personally like three older co-workers very happy with this small 'ute.

These snooty reviewers bash these cars because there are obvious flaws to each, they are correct..but they amplify them...never pointing out the positives. Because being negative is easier than seeing the positives.
