    OEM wipers made by NWB

I just replaced my original wiper blades with Mitsubishi branded replacements (Bosch). Noticed the original blades have 'NWB' logo, which is Nippon Wiper Blade, a Japanese manufacturer.
Either brand is fine quality, this is just an observation.
Although my originals were a bit noisy when new (got quieter as they wore in). Hopefully the Bosch/Mitsubishi ones are quieter. The originals did last four years, outside, and 67k miles. Not bad. They were just starting to crack and fold over, but still did ok.

My factory wipers began falling apart the first winter I had them. I was disappointed in their performance, but didn't dwell on it and just replaced them.

LOL first snowstorm with the Mirage, the original wipers didn't quite cut it. I'll be looking to replace those soon with the aero-blade type if they're available at Canadian Tire/Walmart.

Ah, that could be why mine lasted - I don't drive the Mirage in snow and ice. Got a 20 year old F150 4x4 for winter. Mirage gets four to six weeks off every year. And weekends, too. I use the Mirage for work only, about 90 mile round trip every day.

The OEM wipers that came on my new Mirage barely lasted 1 winter, so both front blades were replaced with the Bosch ones. Now I have got almost 100,000k on them 4 winters with those different blades on. Fantastic. Only now is the smaller passenger blade starting to fray a little.

The rear blade? Terrible really. I'm on my 3rd now, they tear easy, and you have to buy Mitsubishi ($36.99 a piece).

So I use the rear blade sparingly lol. Watch for ripping the rear blade in winter right away when it gets frozen onto the back window.

There are options available from other vendors. I used a cheap refill that cost under $5 if I remember correctly.

Yup. There are a lot of aftermarket alternatives. https://www.rockauto.com/en/catalog/...per+blade,8852

For what I've seen the original front wipers brand/model are NWB 1372 and NWB 2561:

I've installed a kit "Bosch Twin 553" that have Mitsubishi Mirage on the box. However the smallest wiper is 340mm instead 350mm as the original one. Not a big deal but there is that difference.

I think our Wisconsin winters are tough on wiper blades, too. My factory blades didn't last much more than a year, & my cheaper replacement blades (Michelin) fell apart recently.

I just added a TRICO Ice Extreme Weather Winter Wiper Blade to my Driver's side recently. They seem to have a lower profile & appear more aerodynamic than the cheaper exposed metal ones. I will add the same type to the other side soon.

Not overly expensive @ $10.97 (Walmart), & they seem pretty good for our conditions.
