Such a modification would be considered illegal in some jurisdictions.
Interesting that enthusiasts think they know better than professional engineers.

If you had a really old engine with worn out rings that was allowing a LOT of blowby to occur, then this would almost make sense.
In a nutshell, if your engine isn't burning a lot of oil and blowing smoke out the tailpipe... don't do this.
Simplify and add lightness.

I'm afraid that is a good way to fill your engine with sludge. Don't do it. In the old days before PCV systems existed, engines had a large vent pipe from the crankcase that extended down below the engine into the airstream created below the car while driving down the highway. The pipe was cut in a manner that the airstream passing by the end of the pipe would create a small vacuum and help draw the unburnt crankcase blow-by fumes out of the engine. This delete doesn't even provide that.

Did anyone read the comments to the video? It was pointed out that the author of the video didn't really delete the Positive Crankcase Ventilation valve, but only disconnected the air intake tube. The PCV valve would still be in place, despite his claims.
Wow this guy is misinformed. This is a fine example of someone who doesn't know what they are doing, tells others misinformation, and others take his advice as if they are doing something good. Just because someone does it and brags about his skills on YouTube, doesn't mean it's a good idea to replicate.
The contamination on his intake tube that he deleted was likely caused by insufficient filtration. I'm guessing it's from an 'improved' aftermarket air intake filter.

What is the point of doing this?
