Thread: Speedlab intake, header, and custom tune!

I wonder how much you could make with a torque amp? I watched this last week and a previous one with a no name model on a mustang that was a failure.

Scratch that, it's designed for 1.6-3.0l engines

I don't know - those guys in the video were pretty giddy.

Who are you and what did you do with our resident Canadian Wildman?

It's ONLY 300cc... what could it hurt?

I'll let someone a little more adventurous try it first. Eggman, Mark?
Besides that'd be like $10000 here in Canuckstan doll hairs.
Oh, what about Dirk? Where is he anyways, Banned?

I wonder how many kits they sold?
Do you know if anything like this is sold in the U.S. ??? With 74000 miles on my 2015, and as I am not the
original owner, the warranty does not concern me. Thanks..

Hello JohnYuma and welcome to the forum.

Sorry as I can't speak to the availability of the Speedlab intake & tune kit. Hopefully someone who has one will chime in soon, or you can be the first. I'm sure Speedlab would be happy to take your cash ($1000 for a claimed gain of 10hp.)

Edit: Myself, I wouldn't touch it. Change one thing, and it affects ten others. What good is it to open up the intake only to the throttle body without making equivalent changes to the rest of the airstream? In my understanding, it is done for looks only - but that's just my opinion.

Forum member Loren used a tuner chip that you might be interested in, and I suspect at a more palatable price.

I got a quote of $350 from Speedlab for the intake + shipping from the Philippines last week, FWIW.
