Yeah, mine does the same thing. I think somebody said Mitsubishi solved the problem midway through the very long 2015 model year?

My car was made in September, 2014. Since my car never carries passengers it isn't a big deal. I just close the passenger side dash vent and turn the heat up a couple more notches. Doesn't usually get very cold around these parts anyway.

    The car stays warm enough.

    This ^^^

Even with a partially clogged passenger vent, the low volume space means my cabin warms up/cools down real good.

You live in Atlanta! You guys get a temp below freezing and all hell breaks loose. This issue primarily affects people who live where they have real winters.

If it's 0F outside and you have a partially restricted heater core, your Mirage might be tolerable...but it won't be anything close to "warm and toasty."

This is very much what I experienced. In addition to that, the right side of the windshield defogs slower as well.
Custom Mirage products: Cruise control kit, Glove box light, MAF sensor housing, Rear sway bar, Upper grill block

Current project: DIY Nitrous oxide setup for ~$100

Yes. When it's 0F outside and your heater is only blowing 80F air, that ain't gonna cut it very long. Especially if your wife/girlfriend is in the passenger seat where it's the coldest. They will let you know right away there's a problem.

What are Mitsubishi's specs for temp at the vents?

There aren't any real specs to speak of.

But you can look at it this way. If you have 200F coolant running through a heater core, you should have no problem seeing 150F from both passenger/driver vents in ambient temperatures above 20F. And no matter what the ambient temperature is, the far left and far right vents should be producing the same temperature air (within a few degrees). If there's a 20-50 degree difference between the two, you probably have an internal restriction.
