    Good luck again!

Please don't throw the old one away, but open it and try to find out what dissloves the goo. Then please post the results here in a dedicated thread! Thanks.

I got an airbag light on. I know same well all 3 airbags are plugged in and I double checked. Not happy right now. I did cut open the old core and will post a video. Any thoughts on airbag light? Two connectors on passenger bag, one on column, and one on knee bag.

Did you disconnect the battery before removing the dash and unplugging the airbags?

I brought the car into the shop this morning and scanned it with our Snapon Modis. I had codes for passenger airbag short at squib connectors. I removed the airbag and unplugged then reconnected both connectors. Codes cleared out and all good! I made a video and at the end of the video I cut open the old heater core...........

Thanks for taking the time to cut it open and make a video. That "goo" looks just like the stuff in Doax's heater core. I'm guessing there will be a lot of 2014-2015 heater cores replaced in northern states as time goes on.

I wonder if there is anything that can dissolve that goo?

    Yup, there's the $60,000 question.

@ Johnny: Thanks for the video!
Maybe you could check if acetone, paint thinner, nitro solvent, acid or alkali has any effect on the goo? We would all love to hear what helps!

You said it took only 2 1/2 hours to get it back together again. That seems really fast! I've replaced clutches on Suzuki Swifts by myself in 90 minutes from opening the hood to driving off, but doing all that reassembling in 2 1/2 hours seems awefully quick...
