Yeah, the input shaft is grooved where the bearing sits as well as the housing. I wouldn't replace just the bearing in any of the ones I've torn apart. The first 2 had metal everywhere. This latest one doesn't look too bad, it still drove ok but you could feel the input shaft seizing up ever so slightly. Like when a pilot bearing seizes to the input shaft of a transmission. I'll post pics on the thread I just started.
