Going to need a whole new bumper cover and the metal on the bottom of the structure is all bent as well. Not to mention that big gap between the grill and hood make me thing that the whole front end got pulled down.

Yeah that certainly stinks. Where are you located in Wisconsin?

The big gap is pretty normal I think.

Here is mine. Looks less substantial, but I think that is mostly because the car is black.

And here I thought deer were the smallest animals to cause real damage.

Looks like the actual bumper bar took the brunt, so you're probably pretty well-off structurally.

That repair done professionally with OEM parts will be roughly $1250. That's to repair/replace anything bent/broken and to repaint and install a new front bumper cover.

Here's a parts breakdown of the front bumper pieces...

    https://mitsubishi.oepartshub.com/a/...S/6216005.html

Sometimes a cracked/torn bumper cover can be repaired...but that one looks pretty bad. I would want a new cover. Don't let a shop try to talk you into an aftermarket unit just to save $100.

I think I could probably do most of it myself. At least the removal and replacement of the bumper cover. That is if the cover comes complete with the chrome inserts. The Fog light isn't broken and the tabs are in tact. Painting it would have to wait until summer since I drive my car about 550 miles a week. Local parts shop here does not carry the bumper cover. Unless anyone knows how different the 14/15 to the 17/18 bumper covers are? Then they carry them. And of course this is going to be a rare part in a JY since most this new would wind up in a junk yard because of front end damage!!

The 2014-15 bumper cover may bolt up, but it has a bump in the middle on the hood edge. See my pic above. The 2017+ is just straight across.

A friend of mine had similar damage done by a large raccoon to his Prius. After the repair work was done, he hit a deer two weeks later. Way more damage to hood & front bumper.

Hard to avoid sometimes! Number #1 reason I never like riding a motorcycle @ night. Hope your repairs go well!

Could be worse. Check the bottom of the rad support, it's probably pushed back a little. Easy fix, and can be straightened by hand or ratchet strap. The rad support is just super cheapo tinfoil metal. The bumper reinforcement is probably fine. New bumper covers come bare, no chrome, no fog light surrounds, grille, nothing. Might find a used one on car-part. Look up 17-19 Mirage. 15's will bolt on but would look dumb imo. The chrome strip along the bottom is 3 separate pieces and might be dealer only.
