Do you mean like putting a 2-liter bottle after the filter?

Well yeah in a way I guess but I just meant if I get another stock airbox, separate the resonator and the snorkel and cut the airbox and put the resonator AFTER the filter. Instead of before the filter but I'm honestly not to worried about the resonator at all anymore. I mounted the airbox backwards for now, removing the snorkel the resonator and the front part of the airbox and honestly was surprised if I drive the speed limit and drive conservatively I can get 46 mpg to and from work, but today my freeway drive was 66 mpg at 65 mph then in all my stop and go through town traffic getting to work (about 8 miles) and kind of romping on the gas a *bit* by the time I got to work I was only down to 51.9 mpg.
You lost me at mounting the airbox backwards. How did you pull that off?

Any updates on developing the suggested intake by JoshR? I'd be interested in getting something that bolts on to OEM airbox and increases mileage like his setup.
