    Installed an Android Radio

I installed a XTRONS TE706PL Android 8.0 H.U. today. It was fairly straight forward and not too difficult. I've included a radio pin chart above for whomever wants to replace their own H.U. This unit replaced my SE H.U which was still a fine unit but I was wanting one with ability to run some APPS like Torque. I wired it to my existing rear camera and microphone, but not the GPS. I used the GPS that came with the radio and installed it between the vents behind the face-plate like many others have. The plug didn't match the new one, so I had to decide to add the GPS from the new radio. Plus, I wanted to not make too many cuts so I can go back to stock if necessary. The rear camera has it's own plug from factory and is already has a RCA Video in, 1 wire labeled 'BV Power', and 1 wire labeled 'BV Ground.'

It works great! If you have any questions let me know!

And great work on the pictures too. Looks like you spent as much time on the pictures and sharing your work with your post as it took to do the install.

    Thanks.

So, tell us how your Torque works. Are you using a Bluetooth interface? What are your thoughts on how it's working out so far?

Thanks. I try to be as helpful and thorough when I can.

So far I'm liking it a lot. My phone doesn't support hotspot so I have connected to internet at home to do some updates, etc. My next phone will be capable.

Torque works flawlessly. I am using a Konwei BT OBD2 adapter. After the unit starts, it takes a minute to connect but no biggie to me.

Rear camera is better pic than stock and I wired in a front one, just not installed yet.

    Really happy so far.

Fine. Same or better than stock, which didn't ever sound terrible to me anyway.

This is interesting. Can this work as a digital video recorder, like a dashcam?

Yes sir. It actually has its own set of RCA for DVR.

That is pretty cool. I gotta look this up. Can you please post a link to your purchase?

I thought I Thanked your post yesterday, but it seems it didn't recognize my tap on my phone screen.
    Got it covered now.
    You do good work.

Also, have you tried your Bluetooth port with any other devices? I'm able to use my phone's Bluetooth transceiver with my OBDLink LX and my HFM concurrently.
