Okay, so I updated the software using the tool available online. I was happy to see it showed my exact radio for the DSP tuning. Took maybe 20 seconds to update the thing in the car. Holy hell what a difference! You can feel the doors shaking, the rearview mirrors vibrate, and it's definitely way louder than it was before the update. I'm very pleased with this. It's not worth the asking price (barely worth the $480 I spent on it) because it is very expensive for a ~$14,000 car, but being an "easyish" to install kit that's all prewired that works with factory everything definitely does have it's value.

That's good to hear! I'm not sure anyone else has given us a good review of before/after with that system. It sounds like a good option for someone who wants to keep their factory system.

Well...it's pretty easy to ring up that kind of money if you are in a good car audio shop. I tried to keep my system under a budget and I don't want to admit how much my system cost...but I don't regret it.

No I agree, car audio especially good car audio is pricey. I used to always modify the car audio systems in my various vehicles... subs, speakers, amps, head units, and what have you. Had some ear splitting loud setups way back when. But since... gosh... the past 10 years or so I stopped caring as long as it was functional and sounded okay. It really helped moving to more modern cars than the god awful audio systems that came standard on 80's Chrysler products hahahahaha.

Okay, finally got to take the car somewhere after adding the audio upgrade. Definitely a huge improvement while on the highway going 75 MPH as well. What I used to turn the thing all the way up to 45 and be sad it wasn't loud enough has been replaced by turning it to 35 and being good with the volume level. So yeah, definitely worth the upgrade. I'm really happy about that.

Yes, it would be nice to see how the amplifier, subwoofer, and wiring installation turned out.

Does it actually increase the speakers volume or just add a sub?

How long was the install start to finish

It definitely increases the speaker volume. It's a 4.1 channel amplifier. Uses the output from the radio as an input and then powers the speakers directly.

I've been crippled lately (knee surgery) so I had my friend help me install it. It took us less than 2 hours but I'm a perfectionist when it comes to this kind of stuff.
