    Perfromance 3A92 Camshafts from M's Racing Cams Thailand

    After a 6 months wait due to their cnc machine breaking down, I finally got my hands on these beautifully machined Camshafts for the 3A92 engine.

    They are from Thailand. Mitsusport M's Racing Cams.
    Bought it thru Line ID chat and TT transfer. Came in 3 days!

    Cant wait to get them installed. Have to see when i have time to get it done. Will try and do a video of the install.
    Too bad mine is a cvt.. otherwise i would have done a before and after dyno to see its effects.

    Without further ado here are some photos!

    Sounds pretty fun. It would be interesting to see before/after dyno charts... not sure how you'd do that with a CVT though.

    Hey fit, are you able to measure the lobes with a micrometer?

    Hopefully it’s more fun to drive.. I can’t do a dyno due to the cvt. Not sure if it can be flashed to stay in one gear for a dyno run.
    In the mean time I will just rely on my butt dyno.

    You can do before and after acceleration testing. 0-30, 0-60, whatever is convenient. Anything is better than nothing. You can't quantify the butt dyno, but time doesn't lie.

    Someone mentioned measuring the lobes. Not a bad idea. We know what stock lift is. Would be good to know the specs on these cams if they aren't published.

    Also, some video of before and after... at idle, accelerating, etc. Would be interesting to hear the difference in the sound with the new cams.
    Simplify and add lightness.

    Hmmm.. I am not sure which parts to measure. From their Facebook page these are the specs:
    Intake 280, lift 10.10mm
    Exhaust 276, lift 9.10mm

    Okay, that's all you need to know.

    If you want to verify, measure the narrow side of a lobe (that's the base circle diameter) and subtract that from the fat side of the lobe. That is the valve lift. Measuring the duration would be more complicated, but we can trust them on that.

    For reference, stock cams measure:
    Intake = 36mm base circle + 8.9mm lift
    Exhaust = 36mm base circle + 8.0mm lift
    Simplify and add lightness.

    This is a mod I have had targeted for quite some time now. I sent them a message last year and they never got back to me. If Fit can get this done without much trouble, I will definitely be doing this mod.
