Okay I realised that for the cam install (on my car without the acces hatch for the tensioner) these are the components that needs to be removed:

    - oil pan
    - one of the engine mounts
    - belts and pulleys
    - cam cover
    - then finally the timing chain cover

It’s a lot of work. And as such it’s costly to get a workshop to do it.
I have to check out going across the border to Malaysia to get it done where labour is much cheaper.

For those with the access hatch, you only need to remove the cam cover and access hatch! How much easier is that’?!

I think if you remove that bolt in the middle of the photo of your timing chain cover, a hole will be uncovered which will allow you to insert a thin rod to hold the cam chain tensioner retracted. The bolt is referred to as the service hole bolt in the service manual. There is a procedure to follow to retract the tensioner and lock it retracted in the manual. You don't have to remove all the things you referred to your last post. This is on pages 11A-23 through 11A-25 in the service manual. You're welcome.

Man, there's a lot of cool stuff in that manual!
    Simplify and add lightness.

I finally got it installed! But for mine the bolt hole trick didn't help. I sent it to the workshop to get it done. Dropped the oil pan, water pump, alternator and timing chain cover. I will do some 0 to 100kmh acceleration tests and write the full review here later. Stay tuned!

Am I reading that screenshot from their FB page correct? 135HP/116 Torks just from a cam and E85? Or is that a flash too? Either way, that's intense... Wonder how much of a hit you're going to see on MPG.

Sounds like wishful thinking, doesn't it?

I suspect 135 is probably possible, but probably not at the 6800 rpm they're revving to. For what it's worth the 89 1.3l Suzuki Cultus Gti made about 115hp, but that was in the higher 7xxx rpm's and was also a 4 cylinder. Course e85 is magic so, who knows.
