Never use recirculation to defrost. It will only fog up your windows

Obviously it works for me when I press the AC button.

I can't use vent air in Louisiana due to the humidity. All it does is leave moisture in the vents, resulting in mold. Mold is very smelly and I don't like it.

Turn down your temp to around 74, fresh air not recirculation and use the A/C button occasionally as needed. It's extremely wet here on the Oregon Coast with similar conditions.

I can see that using recirc keeps moist air out and drier air in.

It might be different with some snow in the car.

    Nice soundtrack by the way.

I usually set it at 76 degrees. I just had it set high to make a point that warm air doesn't clear up a windshield.

Please see my previous comment about mold. You may have not experienced it but I have. Once mold is in the vents, the only solution is to spray the fresh air intake like crazy will Lysol to kill the mold. I'v had to do that before.

How often have you changed your cabin air filter? If it's that humid all of the time then maybe the cabin air filter is a contributor to the problem. You could try removing it completely to see if that helps.

Every 100k miles. It isn’t what causes my windows to fog. I posted a video proving what works for me. I’m not taking my cabin filter out because it won’t make a difference.

Yah, it just seems unusual that you have that much fogging even with all of the humidity.

Every car I have ever driven in my neck of the woods has been like this. It isn't unusual.
