Did you change the fluid ever?

    Looking at this video: https://youtu.be/RvXDAuIyO6o

Suzuki Swift already had trouble with CVT starting from 27000 (slip and whistle ccording to comments)....

If you were interested in the Space Star you would get much better info from off here. I wish we had Suzuki in the states still though!

Yes but the transmission used by Suzuki are Jatco so the same as Mirage so this was the most suitable forum I found to collect better info about this transmission.
What do you mean for "odd ones"? Production quality issue? How do they reach that reliability without maintenance???? Still figuring out how to cope with the fact that (at least here in Germany in Suzuki and Mitsubishi manuals) nowhere is written to replace fluid regularly, which I have understood is the key to keep "Fresh& Young" this type of transmission ....

The Jatco CVT-7 is used in some other model vehicles such as Nissan and it seems to have more problems there.

I don't have a problem with asking suzuki questions on a Mirage forum.

It just hit me, this car that had the cvt problem was the same car that was driven out here then had the cvt problems shortly after. The same car that the local dealer told me it needed spark plugs. Too late now...

I got a 2015 with a flashing D again. Drive is on the other end of town and trying to limp it back after letting it sit for 10 mins. This car has had this problem a few times over the last few years, usually when it's warmer out. I replaced the valve body on this one the first time or two it acted up. I remember it only acted up near the end of the day. It would be nice if these had a coolant temp gauge of some kind.
