Unhappy 2017 Mirage Oil Smells Like Fuel

My oil has begun to smell like fuel. I change the oil at the scheduled intervals, use the recommended viscosity and baby the car in general. Has anyone else had this problem and does anyone know of any sort of solution or maybe a recommendation? I run 0w-20 full synthetic and the engine is the 1.2 liter. Thanks a million.

Send a sample in to Blackstone and they'll tell you if you have a problem, or if the smell is just normal.

Has your Mirages oil ever smelt of fuel? I've never had a car where the oil smells of gas. Thanks for the reply.

I dont even see how that's possible unless someone dumped gas in the filler hole or into the oil you used?

It's possible. HERE are a few explanations.

Exactly. If you suspect a problem that's this potentially serious, spend $28 and find out EXACTLY what's in your oil.

Order a free test kit here: https://www.blackstone-labs.com/prod...ree-test-kits/

As a reference, here is one of my own Blackstone Oil Analysis reports. I have pointed out ther line where they measure the amount of fuel in the oil.

So it could be leaking injectors. Seems premature on a new car, how many miles do you have?

I just ordered a test kit but I'm almost positive that there is to much in the oil. I had fixed a lawn mower where the gas was flooding the oil but it was a stuck on fuel solenoid.

Only 41,000 miles. Maybe, but it runs well and I've never hard any sort of misfire.

Hey Elermo, welcome to the forum.

I have some questions for you:
    1. What gasoline to you buy - do you stick to Top Tier brands?
    2. Have you tried any fuel system treatments?
    3. How does your Mirage engine run - any problems starting, accelerating, etcetera? (Oops, I now see you've answered this.)
    4. Who changes your engine oil?

I dont know about top tier but I go to franchise gas stations. Nope, I dont really trust them to do anything. The engine runs fine. There is a slight valve noise when its cold and some serpentine belt sqeel but other than that its fine. I change my own oil (mobil 1 0w_20 full syn). Thanks for the reply.
