No problems with stop/start with your car?

Did you get a group photo for the forum? It would be nice to welcome new Mirageforum members here too.

That could sound silly - like waiting around dealers promoting the forum haha.

My Space Star will have this recall done as we speak.
Just dropped it to have 100k km service done.

Haven't had any issue with the ASG system.

Right on Heffu. That is so terrible for a recall.

The real actor playing the new reboot Spock from Star Trek was run over and killed by his own Jeep at his LA mansion. So it just goes to show. If they used to say watch out for Chrysler transmissions, there's a reason for it I guess. Same concept goes for horrific fiery Porsche crashes killing famous actors in California. Just a little bit of history repeating.

Wait I thought all Mirages in all countries had the auto shut off feature? Neutral idle logic?

Auto stop and go is unrelated to neutral idle logic. AS&G is when the engine shuts itself off when you are stopped at a intersection or light with your foot on the brakes. When you take your foot off the brakes the car restarts automatically and is running by the time you hit the throttle. Personally, I dislike that feature intensely on any vehicle I've ever driven with it (disclaimer--3 different vehicles). It can save fuel but I find it only increases my aggravation.

Did you have any issues with Stop & start since your recall?
If we turn off the Stop & start, do we still need a Stop/start battery in case we have to replace it? Thanks

Agreed, neither do I. I rented several cars with the feature and always felt I was going to get stranded at an intersection. Give it some time and I'm sure that will start happening to people.
